Long Island has never lacked style. What it has occasionally lacked is an editor willing to say what deserves attention, what has overstayed its welcome, and what should have been on the reservation list from the beginning.
The BF Edit arrives with one foot in the Hamptons, one on the North Shore and a deliberate eye on everything between them. We are interested in places that create a mood rather than simply fill a room: a waterfront table at sunset, an old estate reconsidered for modern living, a designer who understands restraint, or a benefit where the cause matters as much as the guest list.
This is not a directory. It is a selection. There will be restaurants worth crossing the island for, houses that reveal more than their asking price, parties with genuine personality and people whose influence comes from what they build—not merely where they were photographed.
